Having an online business card with a centralised social media presence sounds like a pretty good idea. Small business professionals can end up having many social media networking accounts, once you take into account your blog, twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, digg, youtube, and possibly a few others.
Each of these networks are important in there own way, but are not suitable if you are looking for sharing your traditional physical business card format to people you meet online.
If you are looking to bring all your profiles into one place, for easy sharing, you might consider some of the following 10 excellent options:
Card.ly
Card.ly is a site that allows you to have your own mini business card profile, without needing to have any design or programming skill.
Contxts
Contxts allows you to create an online business card where details can be shared via SMS. Your txt business card is not just an exchange of credentials. It’s also a request to connect profiles through our network. Each and every contact that you make is added to your virtual rolodex. From here you get access to whatever additional information they provide (flickr, twitter, linked-in).
Snap Dat
With SnapDat™, there’s no business card to lose or forget. There’s not a pile of cards staring you in the face waiting to be entered into your address book. SnapDat™ contact sharing starts & finishes where it belongs – – - directly on your mobile phone.
Beam Me Live
The Beam Me Live services enable seamless and powerful lead management and contact exchange between mobile users on any device, network or OS without downloads, installs or subscriptions.
Dub Hub
DUB takes the chaos out of contact management with intuitive tools to consolidate contacts across mobile phones, social networks, and email accounts.
Twt Biz Card
TwtBizCard is a FREE business card application based on Twitter that lets you exchange your contact information at events or online.
Socialized Card
Socialized Card holds your entire social identity. By sharing the card, your friends can access all your internet profiles. Thus they can connect with you on all social networks which you belong to.
ReTaggr
The Definitive Online Profile. A central location for your personal info, and a gateway to all your online profiles and networks. Your own content from those sites automatically included.
My Name is E
E enables you to collect your accounts – on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and every other network of your choice – in one spot, and share them in real life by using any mobile phone.
Magntize
Provides a free, personal website, that acts as your digital business card.
What do you think of these options? Do you know any more? Feel free to share below.

@Praveen-Techperk, Thanks Praveen for your comment and feedback
You just thanked a spammer for a generic comment that was probably posted by a bot.
It is a good round-up article though – thanks. I’m looking for a free template much like the card.ly service, but that I can host on my own domain. Sounds like that’s what the card.ly guys were looking for once upon a time judging by their ‘about’ page.

@Denny, Hi Denny, I actually really like the Techperk website, and Praveen does some awesome posts, so I don’t really consider his comment “spam”, even if it is so short. When people leave comments with names like “Designer Handbags”, THEN I get suspicious and don’t approve the post.
Also, I think his post which he has attached through CommentLuv – 17 Ways to Improve your Alexa Rank – is a really helpful post, which I encourage all my readers to read.
I think card.ly is a great tool, and I have set up a profile for myself. There can sometimes be an issue when looking for “free” things on the net. There might be a WordPress theme that looks a little like this, but these kind of things are not really my specialty. I just really like it as a handy free service, and as an online business card.
Thanks for your comment.
@Fiona Bosticky, thanks for the reply; I stand corrected.
I did end up adapting the ‘minicard’ WordPress theme for my purposes, as you can see if you click through to my site now

@Mike, Hi Mike, Thanks for your comment. Yes, a lot of people are using these as a substitute for real business cards, but I think they are a great add on. And it helps you pull all your profiles into one place.
Fiona,
The Txt biz Card from ZEN Mobile Solutions should be worthy of mentioning along with the others above. They are growing fast through strategic partnerships. Check out latest release: http://transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?id=621425&cat=12
Hi Fiona this is an awesome post – great to see Contxts in there – big shout-out to Danny Newman who is their founder and just an awesome guy.
I was wondering if you might be interested in checking out Hashable? We’d love to walk you through what we’re doing and some of the new stuff coming out. Our app is an all-purpose ‘Social CRM’ tool that lets you send virtual business cards, remember where & when you met people, and then build full interaction histories per person. You can do everything privately or use it socially – so you can let your friends see who you’re meeting, and you can see who they are meeting. It’s really useful – but it’s also a lot of fun.
At any rate – awesome post – hope to talk shop soon!

QRecognizeME is some sort of social network and online service mixture that allows you to create and exchange your business card in a really easy way:
1. You register yourself, just writing your e-mail. Authorization from linkedin is asked so your profile is automatically fulfilled including your blog account, twitter, linkedin public profile, your picture, headline, address phone and so on.
2. Just after registering you get a QR code (low density to allow high reading rates far away) through email. The idea is to embed this QR code anywhere, one great idea to start with is in the cover of your powerpoint slides.
3. When you go to a customer or to any other place, you start your powerpoint, and your audience see the QRcode. They are scan it, with any QRCode scanner -no special app required- and bingo.
4. They are redirected to your personal and private business card online. There, they can follow you on twitter, call you, linked in with you, drop and e-mail and even more get your contact information stored in the phone with a single click.
Effortless, easily, with no risk of misspelling, all the information at a glance in their fingers. I believe there is no easier way to drop your business card!
I would be very thankful if you could help me spread the idea, as I think it is really helpful, interesting and of course FREE.
You can register at http://qrecognize.me
Thanks in advance,
