Many people believe that Facebook is only for friends and family, but with more than 400 million users around the globe, would you miss the opportunity to advertise there ?
It looks like Facebook is trying to become more like a “one stop shop” where you can find friends, learn information, buy products, listen to music and videos and also make money. People do this by creating a Group or a Page for a specific purpouse, where other people with common interests join and share ideas and information.
With all this going on, would you like to have a form in your Facebook Group or Page where you can let your members contact you easely and gain data? Of course you would like to have a form, so read below to learn how.
There are two ways to achieve this:
In both ways we need the help of a Facebook Application called “Static FBML”. Search on Facebook for this application.
After you find the “Static FBML” application, you need to click “Add to my Page” just under the FBML thumbnail.
As soon as the application is installed in your page, go to the page and click “Edit Page”, and when the Edit Page is loaded, scroll down til you find the FBML application.
Now you need to click “Edit” and paste the html code like in the example below.
<FORM METHOD=”POST”
ACTION=”http://yoursite.com/cgi-bin/formmail.pl”>
Your e-mail address: <INPUT NAME=”email”><p>
Your name: <INPUT NAME=”yourname”><p>
Your question: <INPUT NAME=”question”><p>
Your Phone Number: <INPUT NAME=”phonenumber”><p>
<INPUT TYPE=”submit” value=”Send e-mail”>
</FORM>

Hi Jumbo
Totally agree with you. Facebook is like the center where all the action is from conducting business to hanging out with friends and family definitely the place to be. Thank you for the information on google “Contact Form Generators” and was not aware of this.

Hi I’m participating in Jeanette Cates’ 30 day blog challenge and saw your tweet on the website. I’m going to give this a try. I understand everything up to the “don’t panic” part. Then I got lost. Maybe it will make more sense when I work through it. Thanks for the instructions. I may come back with questions if that’s okay with you.
Thank you for the comments. @Wanda After the “don’t panic” part, i searched on Google for a Contact Form Generator and I founded this website http://www.123contactform.com. I opened an account in this website and i created a simple contact form, after that i selected all the code that was provided from the website and I pasted the code inside “Static FBML” application, next you save the file and go to your facebook page and try the form. And that’s it, the form is using the server of the 123contactform to send the emails and every time you send something, is saying “Message Sent. Thank you” ( you can edit that inside the website, when you create the form)
WOW!!!
What a great idea. I am looking forward to implementing this suggestion on my facebook page. Thank you so much for the suggestion and information I really appreciate it.
All the best,
Kevin
