Following on from Part 5 (Jennie Armato), here is the final Part 6: Pete Godfrey
I had never heard of Pete Godfrey before, but I was told just before I saw him that he is a Copywriting expert. I had
never seen a copywriting expert before, so I was very curious as to what I would hear.
If you were to look for him on Google, you would see that he is a Copywriter and Direct Response Marketing expert with 9 years covered.
His Talk: Pete was a calm and direct speaker. I know this because of the fast number of notes I was able to take. I often find when a speaker isn’t especially clear, or speaks too quickly, I struggle to take a good amount of notes.
Right away it was clear that Pete knows what he’s talking about. He discussed about the USP (Unique Selling Proposition) and reinventing your advertising. Pete discussed in clear details about Lead Generation and how he uses it on the Internet.
He gave copywriting tips, and explained the importance of testing and measuring the results. Pete discussed pricing, and some mistakes to be avoided.
Overall it was an enjoyable and educational talk.
Score: 7/10
Marketing View:
From a marketing point of view, Pete seems to want to get little attention. He seems happy with the amount of work he has. His marketing is the most laid back, just like the way he was speaking. His focus seems to show that he is limited and expensive, and very educated. His website is simple, with a blue header, the colour to show trustworthiness.
